Is there a new paid survey being offered by email for 2022 thru UEGROUP called Project Gates or is this a scam?
Hi All,
I manage a user research team here at Roku. This survey from UEGroup for Project Gates is legitimate.

If you have to ask it’s a scam
Hello all,
I received this email from research@roku.com with the subject "Paid Study Opportunity to Improve Roku"
I'm trying to figure out if this is legit, or a scam.
The body of the email is as follows:
"Here at Roku, we are always striving to improve your experience and are interested in your opinions. For our latest effort to get your feedback, we’ve partnered with a research company, UEGroup, to create an online study that you can complete using your phone. Participants who complete this online study will be compensated $600.00, plus have an opportunity to participate in a follow-up interview for an additional $125.00. We’re calling this study Project Gates."
Has anyone else received an email such as this?
Seriously? You have to ask if that’s legit? Just look at the senders email address and it will tell you everything. It’s kinda common sense that it’s spam.
Possibly legit.
You need to look at the technical details of how the email was routed, check up the research company quoted. (Too complex to explain here).
If they ask for sensitive details (roku account login, bank account etc.), or ask to install software, or ask for payment then stop.
I would give it a go, but be cautious.
I'm unfamiliar with any such survey. There certainly are numerous legitimate survey companies out there, but if they're claiming to be working for Roku, I'd wait to hear from a Roku employee here to determine if it's legit.

Thank you Kelly, much appreciated.
just received one from "app."dscout.com"
if these are legitimate, suggest you link to the roku site, and then offer up codes to enter and qualify, so they don't get confused with scams?
Thank you for the suggestion!
