is there a way to show all the shows I am watching no matter what app they come from on one screen?

How do I show all the shows I am watching no matter what app they come from on one screen?

While there is no channel/app per se that will do this for you, one way is to have your Roku keep track of a list of shows you watch, then update you as new content becomes available in a single interface via the "My Feed" menu option.

Here's an explanation of what it is and how to set it up:

I've tried that but I must be doing something wrong.  I've selected 5 shows so far for Roku to follow and none of them show in My Feed.  I'm not sure what's wrong.

That's because the shows don't have any new content in the few minutes between when you added them and when you looked at the list.  You need to add a show, then wait for new content to be found before they start showing up.  This can take days or weeks even.

Re: is there a way to show all the shows I am watching no matter what app they come from on one scre

So I guess I'm not clear on what "new content" means.  If there is a show on Hulu that has 6 seasons and I've already watched them thru season 3 episode 4 by accessing Hulu directly on my smart tv and now I want to start at that point on my new Roku does the Roku know at what point I've watched the episodes thru already and will it not add all new episodes starting at season 3 episode 5 to my shows because they are new to me?   Or does that mean the show must not have been available at all before the point I added it to follow on Roku?  Is the only way to do it is to go to the Hulu app on Roku and watch them that way?  Thanks for the help.

Ahh, then My Feed isn't going to help much in that scenario - think of it more as a DVR you just turned on, anything you add will only get reported when added to a channel.

What you may be looking for is something like Reelgood (https://reelgood.com/) - you can set up your shows how you described, and can even start the show you want from their app on your phone, it will choose the correct app and start the episode or movie you have chosen. The only downside is that you need to manually control what you have watched, although they make it easy to do (I use it).

Hope this helps!

Thanks, I'll give reel good a try.  One final question about My Feed.  If a show I have added to My Feed is on once a week for the next three weeks will My Feed show all three episodes as separate entries or one entry with 3 episodes?

Typically it would show the individual episodes as available as they show up.

Thanks again,

Some shows should appear tonight.

It has been my experience that it can take an extra day or two after an episode airs to show up in the My Feed list, so be patient with it.  Seems like they have a process that runs the automated searches once a night during off-peak hours, but I have no evidence to back this up other than what I've seen.
