YTTV app is installed, but not yet subscribed. Will it work?

I am planning to subscribe to YouTube TV but have not yet done so. Yesterday I installed the YTTV app on my Roku in expectation of the app being removed.

Question, since the app is there can I still create a YouTube TV account (on a separate non-Roku device) and then sign in on Roku and all will work, at least for the time being?

it should as long as you register with YTTV on PC/Phone and then just login on roku.

Youtube has since added the tv service under the youtube app itself.

Such an easy work around youtube provided in light of the ongoing standoff.

Fortunately I downloaded the app a day before they took it away. It still works fine on the device.
