Actually they just don't want to actually help people.

Especially with the Pandemic changing the basic way of doing business -ike Call Centers.
I keep their Customer Phone Number in my own Phone's Contacts. I will send it to you in your Private Message as I don't think Roku won't like me to post it publicly. I doubt there is anyone picking up the phone there right now.
I need to talk to a real person and you hide the contact information. That is the problem!
And, where did you get this number? I Google it, and find it is not a Roku phone number. Rather, it is a SPAM number. Don't be spreading spam on this forum!!

So wtf is up with the support. Bought a remote that's rechargeable and they sent no charger. Tried their support and got a big run around in circles. Guess I'm off to the firestick.
I'm not aware of any Roku remote that is rechargeable. They all take AA or AAA batteries. You can certainly use rechargeable batteries, but the remote doesn't come with them. Which remote are you referring to?
It is sku 3226000888. Model RC-MCI. It has a port on the end for a charger.
I appreciate that info, but I'm still at a loss about it. I thought it was the table remote, but that takes AAA batteries and there's no mention of charging ability. I did a web search and found nothing. I even changed MCI to MC1, and still found nothing. Are you certain the jack you are referring to is for charging, and not an audio jack for connecting ear buds? There are multiple remotes with audio jacks.
If you are referring to. me, I always had the OFFICIAL Roku number since I bought & used their products since 2017 or 2018. Way before the March 2020 date and the resulting termination of this Phone Number and it's connection to real live employees of Roku's own Call Help Center was cut most likely FOREVER.
The OFFICIAL phone number was listed on their/this own website up to that time. Then email only option was fully adopted for all Customer Service issues. Email is the cheapest and most cost effective choice for the now probable few remaining employees to address the increasing high volume of the confused, desperate, or just plain way too trusting with their credit/debit card digits unlucky enough to have unauthorized money taken out of their bank accounts via their own forced. to disclose these same numbers in their Roku registration accounts to use these selfsame products. No wonder the scammers favor Roku users over Chromecast or Amazon users. Too much required disclosure of unecessary financial information.
I never bothered to delete that number from my PERSONAL phone's own Contacts listing. Too lazy I suppose.
Anybody who blindly Googled information without verification or confirmation runs the risk of scammers. I don't blindly look up any topic online. I prefer more offline techniques. Scammers don't bother much with these as they are too much trouble for them.

A rechargeable remote has been mentioned off and on for a while and I've seen an offer for it on the Internet (A screen shot of someone's TV which said it was limited to 2000 - which seems like an odd stealth business model.) As for a charger, I couldn't tell from the Ad whether it is meant to come with one. Some companies these days assume people have lots of ways to charge over USB ports and don't bother to include "another" charger.
