I have done the exactly as you have said to do it.  I have a Streambar Pro and have given exact information to Roku people and been given ideas I have tried more times than I can remember.  Why have some people regained channel when others have not.  Why is this channel install behaving differently than others I have have had no trouble with?  I read that one moderator knew that Streambars  might be a problem for Roku, and thought they may be working on a fix.  How would he know this was so?  He wrote as someone who knew what was going on in the company.  Also, I tried your suggestion with other Roku devices with no success either.
