Even I was taken aback by this article. I was very aware of the popularity gaining for this and other companies’ streaming devices currently or soon to be on the market for a long time before the virus even existed. But the double whammy of the unpredictable virus plus the masses of newly unemployed hordes of people desperate to cut down their entertainment costs, gave this cord cutting activity a huge boost. It’s not just for kids, cheapskates, or the streaming fringe anymore:

So Roku (and all the streaming content it offers) is not going away anytime soon. Whether it’s growing presence in the Stock Market or in whatever living space it finds itself across, not only the US but the world, is now a rapidly becoming some sort of coping mechanism. A coping mechanism for BOTH frayed finances and nerves.
In my own home, I now have to make a Remote Caddy for all the new additions Roku made it possible for me to get.
