Re: Please Stop Trashing Roku

With scathing allegations like that, I was reading through your comment and no proof to support your allegations were able to be found. Not a single one of my 5 Roku products has failed.

Re: Please Stop Trashing Roku

No proof huh ? Haha except for maybe the hundreds upon hundreds of comments here saying negative things about their Roku devices and the huge number of comments and posts on other internet sites.

I am glad for your 5. I am on number two and both have had major issues.

Re: Please Stop Trashing Roku

Proof that is impossible to verify is not proof. If as little as 1% percent of Roku devices are a problem then Roku is doing a great job. I don't know how many Roku streaming devices exist plus Roku TVs? Probably tens of millions of devices out there.

Re: Please Stop Trashing Roku

"Impossible to verify" haha. Except with possibly with under a quick two minutes of your time reading through discussions and or using a search engine and reading what users have said about Roku and HBO.

According to a CNET article on Jan. 6, 2021 they have 51.2 million active accounts. If I sold 512000 faulty units to customers I would be unsatisfied with my company. But they are only concerned with their stock price.

Re: Please Stop Trashing Roku

If your device is still under warranty from Roku then return your device to Roku. That is an option for you. I have bought a lot of electronic devices over the years and I don't expect the electronics that I buy to be perfect.

@GoHawks

Not that you linked to the CNET article..or quoted from it...but

accounts <> units (because there are many Roku accounts with multiple units)

Every company releases imperfect product/service - thats the reason there are returns, refunds, exchanges, credits, warranty, RMA and the existence of CS - all of which any/every consumer should/can take advantage of if desired/necessary.

Just as an FYI aside, one substantiates one's own claim in an argument (you don't demand/insist the other party substantiate your claims/arguments).

Roku is pure garbage. Please don’t buy any roku product.

Doesn’t even work half the time. Thought it was my device so actually went and bought another. Oh how I was wrong. Tried to contact roku in hopes to possibly resolve these issues. NOTHING. Tried again still no response. Once they have your money after purchase that’s it. I have never experienced a product like this. I would never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever recommend this kind of garbage to anyone. DO NOT BUY ANY ROKU PRODUCT. PLEASE!!

Perhaps if you tell us specifically what the problem is, and the model Roku you have, someone might be able to offer a solution.
