They did announce in 2018. No follow-up since. I've asked and no one knows. Don't know why they would say they are "excited to announce" and not follow-through.
If you put out a post a couple of years ago regarding whole home entertainment and then you don't follow-up with your customers - it's just a tease. Also your reps didn't know about your own post.

I have built my whole home around this announcement.I have 4 Roku TVs, 2 sound bars, and ready to upgrade with more speakers - but I need to have an assurance of your roll-outs and intent.

I looked at both links you provided. I notice that what they were offering is a licensing agreement for another company to build such whole house systems, not that Roku themselves would offer one.
