I agree, If I wanted to watch that trash I'd stay on my cable !!!! IF YOU HAVE to have that on somewhere, keep it off of regular channels where kids can see this **bleep** and it is **bleep**. I might just go off of TV altogether if this keeps happening. nasty!
How is it even comprehendible to randomly start a clip from some Roku stream of the LGBTQ+ channel talking about masturbating on his grandmas bed?????? We had our TV on idle and I hear what sounds like a woman but speaking acts of a man, masturbating on his grandma’s bed!?!!?! I have young children I don’t care what your sexual orientation is, WHY IS IT BEING AIRED ON IDLE TV!?!?!?!!! Completely shocked, inappropriate, disgusting. I left my TV on idle and my 6 year old hears this **bleep**????????
The ADS are based on what you search for. I have never seen anything like what you are Karen-ing about. I asked my wife and she hasn't ever seen any ads like that you are complaining about, neither have out adult kids.
Just like I stated previously in another post similar in topic to this one, I will repeat. Why is/are the user(s) exercising their own power of choice. You all have this ability already even if you long forgotten this. Just think real hard and you will remember if you are over 30 or so.
Before all these fancy apps and smart TVs even existed, there was your hand (or your parents') to manipulate the world around you. You or them got up and changed channels or even turned the boob tube off if you or them did not like the ads/content presented. If you were at the local theater, either movie or live plays entertainment, you simply got up and walked out.
Why do you expect Roku to do this for you or your children with their own devices/apps? You still are responsible to yourselves or to yours. Not Roku.
Get more self-reliant in the present & future!
If you don't like a channels content, just delete it. Simple.

They aren't referring to content within a channel. They're unhappy with ads displayed on the Roku home screen. It can't be deleted.
I wonder whos paying to promote that stuff. Cant block or remove it using normal settings.
Block or redirect these using nextdns or something similar.
Thise two domains were blocked nearly 200,000 times in the past couple of weeks. But the gross ads are GONE on the homescreen.
Good luck cleaning your tv.
GOD BLESS

The content providers. Certainly you understand how the media advertising model works.
Except sausage party keeps popping up on mine and my daughter and I watch almost exclusively Disney.
What? Roku does not show advertisements only for the channels you watch.
