I am saying that the add that are popping up are not from things we are watching. I don't watch a whole lot of TV but my daughter does. She watches almost nothing but Disney. Even though that is all we watch somehow a sausage party ad pops up on the right side of the screen. There are others too but the argument that it's from what we watch is not true.
Nobody said this. I just said the exact opposite. Please go back and read my post again, slowly this time.
I didn't mean to reply to you, I was replying to the person above that said it is what you watch. I am new to this and I apologize for mixing it up. I was trying to reply to the person that said it's what people watch that causes the ads and I was arguing the point.
I can't believe this thread is still going and Pride month was over now 6 months ago. Turn off the TV and go read your bibles or something sheesh!
It is true that we see this content on our screens regardless of our preferences when it comes to the content we are viewing. Furthermore, it is also true that this can be aggravated if someone takes it upon themselves to purposefully search for the material in question. As for whether or not it is appropriate, I suppose that is something that is up for discussion, so it is a matter of opinion. All those who profess to be tolerant must, by definition, be tolerant of the viewpoints of others if they claim to be tolerant themselves. Due to the fact that I exercise Christian values, I agree with you that this is inappropriate (even vile) behavior. It is also true that those who do not share my values have a different view of what is appropriate based on their own set of values. For the purposes of your query, it really doesn't matter what it is. In the end, what matters is that we can customize what we see on our displays based on our preferences. In the event that I am unable to control what I see, I will have to make a tough decision soon.
Who said anything about tolerance?

LMAO holy useless canned response Batman!
I find it fascinating that non trans beauty pageants or hetero reality shows ads don't cause a 6 month/8 page long thread over "trashy, vile, sexualized, disgusting" content by the heterosexual/evangelical community here. Yet all of a sudden if it's a transgender wearing a dress/makeup repairing property or beauty contest for LGBTQ+ youth... well then all those adjectives suddenly apply.
Stop sexualizing the LGBTQ+ community. THAT'S WHAT'S DISGUSTING. Or, just come clean with your hidden insecurities about your gender identity because a man in makeup should not have a straight person this much in a tizzy.
Go protest hetero content like the Kardashians, Toddlers and Tiaras, Real Housewives, or the train wreck quiver full family Duggars.
