Re: Half screen sexualized drag queen & cross dressing adds on the "Roku Home Menu"

You guys can say you like it.

I can say I don't.

It's as simple as that.

The end.

I just came on to provide the same negative feedback as the original poster. Since you think that the original poster was being untruthful, let me assure you that it is 100% true.

[edited to add] I figured out how to add images. Here you go.

Wow your Roku Channel menu is nice! Must be a built in.

I'm using a USB Roku Stick on my TV and mine only has 6 and a half big icons and I have to scroll for days.

We're definitely not seeing the same stuff.

Re: Half screen sexualized drag queen & cross dressing adds on the "Roku Home Menu"

It's Pride month. Everywhere you look there's ads like this. Certainly not restricted to Roku devices. I see them on my Android based devices as well. I don't want to see them either, but face it. We're stuck with them for the time being. Hopefully they'll be replaced with something else next month.

@RealMusician  There is no such thing as a Roku USB stick. Never has been.

@Gerry_D  That is Discovery+ promoting there shows. Again there is absolutely nothing wrong with that content. Nothing. Discovery paid Roku to promote there shows. Nothing that you posted violates the FCC rules. June is National Pride month. Only thing it is violating is your own personal beliefs. I have seen that same promotion from Discovery+ on my Roku Home Screen. So what?

@Avaya I get that you believe that there is nothing wrong with it.

I'll agree with you that there is nothing illegal about it. But I wholeheartedly disagree with you on there being nothing wrong with it.

You don't like my opinion, and I do not like yours.

I provided feedback. If you do not like my feedback, feel free to ignore it. My feedback was not for you.

Re: Half screen sexualized drag queen & cross dressing adds on the "Roku Home Menu"

@Gerry_D  Your bringing your personal beliefs into this. From a legal standpoint there is nothing wrong with it. No nudity, no sex, no alcohol or drug use. So I guess if someone has the rainbow pride flag hanging in there yard that offends you too? If someone has a pride bumper sticker on there car is that offensive? It is a show poster. Discovery+ paid Roku to advertise on the home page to get users to sign up for there service. It is national pride month. Next month it will be gone. I have seen children shows promoted on my home screen? Why? My kids are all in college. I also have seen other things that I have no interest in. Does it bother me? No. Who cares? Is it hurting you? Is it making you buy something to get rid of it? No. It merely goes against your personal beliefs and in a court of law that has no binding. Have a nice day.

I would say don’t click on them if you don’t like them.  Clicking on them may train the algorithm to give you more that are similar to that.  I barely even notice any ads.  I noticed these only because you guys posted them, so I’m sure the advertisers are thinking: “thanks for helping out!”

When I grew up, men were men, like Harvey Korman seen here:

@Strega It's easy enough to not click on them.

It's less easy to have to avoid using the Roku home page whenever a six-year old happens to be in the same room, because it is presented right at the top, no scrolling needed, unavoidable, without any clicking involved.
