I haven't had my onn. Roku TV for very long. It definitely took some time getting used to the remote NOT having numbered buttons to select channels but I did. I really liked having my favorite channels. Now of course without any input from customers/users, someone decided to make changes without putting much thought into what they were doing. You turned my new TV in a useless dust collector. THANKS!!!
Can you describe your issue? This is a support forum, meaning you would ask for help based on an issue you described.
Kicking and screaming is not going to get you much help.
Giving my opinion of the latest update is hardly "kicking and screaming". Are you a programmer for Roku? Can you explain how to get the TV settings to revert back prior to the last update installed?
I find the added Streaming channels to be annoying. If I wanted a long lineup of useless channels, I would get cable.
I was referring to your words, "You turned my new TV in a useless dust collector. THANKS!!!" as my impetus.
Regardless, did you try turning streaming channels back off? As per the graphic which appeared when the feature was turned on, go to Settings, Inputs, then the Live TV input where you can turn the feature back off. Simple enough.
optikhog, please be kind. I am also super pissed about a zillion channels added to my Roku TV; I want the same basic OTA channels as that is the sole intent of this TV. I was about to go thru every channel and turn each one off but thought "hey maybe I have an account on Roku and can somehow do these edits thru the online portal". Then along comes this thread. Exact same frustration here.
Your suggestion, about how to turn off streaming, is VERY helpful; something I honestly never thought about having such an option. Thank you for that.
If Roku is listening, or cares, why not have an online portal to manage channels ?
Not sure how I was unkind (feel free to PM me with explanation), but glad you were able to turn off the steaming channels.
I did turn the streaming channels off, but I still can't get back the Favorites. Any idea what to do know? I didn't think we would miss the favorite channels but we do

Unfortunately, I think they completely disabled Favorites. The reason is likely because so many users complained when they removed the ability for a user to add/remove favorites on their own.
Hey atc & kerry66,
You're right, they did away with Favorites section of the LiveTV guide. The new thing is Recent Channels, which you get to by clicking left arrow to move cursor on top of the channel number column. Then click the * key to bring up a dialog menu that lets you switch to Recent Channels or All Channels. The downside is that it doesn't remember the setting so every time you turn on the TV you have to do it again.
You are Definitely not alone! I Brought a 32" onn Roku a couple of weeks before Christmas. Love the guide because I just have Ota antenna so the Integration of Roku's free streaming into the guide I thought was awesome. So I liked the Feature so much, it helped me make a Decision on what tv to get for the man cave. Soooooo on Christmas I treat myself to a nice 70" onn Roku, and I loved it until this morning. This morning 1/12/21 I make myself a nice cup of Coffee turn on the 70" and the feature I loved is gone. It's funny, the 32" still has it but on the 70" it's gone. I'm not new to programing tv's I worked for Comcast, at&t, dish network and my brother repair them. I tried everything. When I say gone I mean gone, no options for tv input live tv hide streaming TV channels. The all channels feature gone. You press left on the remote to bring up the guide and press left again then the * button nothing, the guide just go's back and back. Went back 6 days and could have keep going. I never felt so robbed by a company in all my ife. I checked the roku app or channel no square for live tv. Reset tv to factory settings nothing. Nothing worked. Well sorry for writing a book but, had to get it out. Have a great day.
