Re: What is Roku's Customer Service Number?

Jump to solution

Like everything else, the manufacturer of today simply develops it, then ships out their products and are done.

That’s bulls##t

I have used support for lots of problems with products ranging from refrigerators to routers to DVD players and in all cases was able to easily call tech support and talk to a human. How did I find their support numbers? They were clearly printed on the owner’s manuals and on their websites. I didn’t have to wade through forums calling people with legitimate problems stupid and suggesting they pay a third party to fix it . Can the geek squad fix a firmware issue?

Maybe ROKU thinks they can ship a product and walk away, but that’s a recipe for class action and bankruptcy.

That phone number actually got me to a representative that transferred me to the person I needed to talk to for my problem.

Need help with issue only option is to be charged?

Jump to solution

I've been trying to get help for 2 days through every source I can find. The only option I did find want me to pay like $49.99 for help? **bleep** no. I'll return this garbage and buy a Amazon fire stick. Does everything a Roku does and they have customer service

@sescorp0834, Roku doesn't charge for support, so anything you find that asks for money is a scam.  @RokuDanny-R or @RokuKariza-D may be able to help.

@sescorp0834

Roku support my not live up to many people's expectations, but it never charges for it.  That was a scammer masquerading as Roku.  You probably found it via a web search.  If the web address isn't at roku.com or [whatever].roku.com, it's bogus.

Anyone know how long the warrantee is on a Roku Ultra. I am very close to wanting my money back and exposing Roku on every social media platform I can think of.

It is unfortunate because before they broke my Ultra with the unwanted update to 10.5.0 I was rather happy with it.

In the US, the warranty is one year. I can't speak to other locations.

But I have 10.5 on three different Ultras (4640, 4670 and 4800) and haven't seen anything "broken". Exactly what is the issue you're having?

For one, look at the many pages of posts related to unresolved audio problems with RMP since v 10 (6 months+ ago)

In response to Mitchd: it would be surprising if you got any meaningful response here.

Once you get past the “describe your problem in more detail” or “send a sample of the video that won’t play” expect to hear crickets. Beyond that you will join the growing ranks of dissatisfied- if not downright pissed - users who cannot get firmware created issues resolved. Be prepared to be disrespected by “geniuses” who think a firmware induced problem is somehow caused by you being too stupid to fix it yourself, or suggest you pay someone to repair it (as if they could actually fix faulty firmware)

I’m afraid that’s your best recourse. At the very least you can prevent others from making the same mistake we have.

Very few - if any - firmware issues have been resolved here. Since there is NO technical support number (no matter what you may be led to believe) and the forums are a poor substitute where you are likely to be called stupid rather than get any meaningful help.

The fact that people are even thinking about paying for support only proves how bad the “official” ROKU “support” is.

The audio "issue" with RMP is not system wide, so tracking down a cause is always troublesome. I have no issues with audio either with my Rokus that connect to AVRs or the ones directly connected to a TV. Of course, I'm streaming my media from a DLNA server and it makes sure to only send supported audio to the Roku. But I have media with AC3, DTS and AAC audio that are sent untouched, none of which cause any audio issues.
