Do Roku employees respond to private messages?

I'm a new Roku user and am pretty quickly going to be a former Roku user.  Like apparently many others I have issues with the device activation instructions posted on the Roku website.  Do people that claim to be Roku employees in this community actually read and respond to the private messages they ask customers to send them?  I've been ignored to this point.

I've heard that the support staff are starting to respond again. You begin the process at https://support.roku.com/contactus

@RokuDanny-R is the only employee that monitors this forum. I would expect a PM to any of them to get a response, but I also see some names still shown as employees that are no longer there, so no one would get a PM to their names. 

Danny is pretty overworked on this site, but I believe he makes an honest attempt to return messages. And there's also been times this forum software has made messages disappear. Not the greatest forum software compared to others I've used.

Thank you for the helpful reply.  It's appreciated.  RokuDanny-R is the username I sent two PM's to 48 hours ago and have not received any reply to.  It seems the Roku customer servic tries, at every turn, to push people to this seemingly subpar community forum.  Is there a way to get Roku employees to provide actual customer service other than of this forum?

That's not an email address, that's a web page. Roku doesn't have email support. Go to that page and follow the steps for assistance.

Whoops.  Of course that is a webpage.  I got my messages mixed up.  Somebody I was emailing is now confused.  At any rate, thanks for your effort to help me and others out.  I'm just going to return my equipment and go a different route.  Roku's lack of customer support has wasted a bunch of my time and is, frankly, disgusting. I can't possibly support this company.

I've been to that web address at least 6 times in the past few days.  All is does is steer customers into this forum where customers get ignored.

When you sign in to this forum, this is what greets you:

".........Connect with other Roku users to learn more about streaming, cord-cutting, finding your favorite content, or talk about the latest entertainment........."

If you need more than the above subscription, I always contact the retailer of the Roku device I purchase it from, or if it's an app issue, the app developers.  Roku seems to only have a few employees left.  I keep my own interactions with this forum just for limited topics listed above for the most part.
