xfinity streaming app with 3930rw

just got a roku 3930rw and can't get the xfinity streaming app to work.  spent 1+ hour with xfinity and no joy.

i do have a 3930x on another tv that works fine.

reading the xfinity website it says the 3930x is compatible, but no mention of the 3930rw.  what could be different between the 2 that makes the rw version incompatible? 

unless xfinity is trying to make sure no new users can use the app (my x version is several years old and "grandfathered" in i guess)

can't find the 3930x for sale (except on ebay)

searched the community and others seem to have this issue, but it seems nobody ever got it solved.

any hope out there?

X vs RW should be irrelevant.  They just indicate the distribution channel (RW is Walmart).  Do both your 3930s show the same software version under Settings->System->About?  How about the Xfinity channel version - highlight the channel/app on the Home Screen and press the * button on your remote.
