Just added Siriusxm streaming channel using web & confirmed by ROKU.
will ROKU always require the 35 step sign in and password?
if not, how does one get past this stupid requirement?
If you're talking about a sign in to a particular channel/app you'd have to ask the developer of the channel/app. For the most part Roku doesn't create the channels.
the app is obviously a ROKU app as it is standard throughout their system. the real issue is that after hours of MY wasted time, roku was asking for my username on the ROKU APP which was up and running instead of what looked like the obvious request for a pw from Sirius.
for clarity, had roku included the words "add your ROKU user name and password" to the form, problem would have been solved.
I'm a new, gonna be former user of a company that hides from their customer, with zero customer contact, that expects their customers to band together to solve ROKU's shortcomings.
by the way, even the roku customer contact form does not send or work.
Are we talking about the SiriusXM app here?
That one does say it was developed by Sirius XM. There are far more channels/apps on Roku than there are Roku employees so most apps are developed by content providers. I don't use that app, so I can only tell you that I've only had to login once (at most) on the apps I use.
Then again, you also say "Roku App" which makes me think of the remote-control app for your phone so maybe I'm not following what the 35 steps are for.
I have a free SiriusXM trial going in my car, but if it takes 35 steps to login, I'll probably just let it expire!
