Hemos adquirido en dispositivo ROKU en Uruguay, hemos seguido los pasos para su instalacion, pero no logramos entoncrar canales, como Amazon Prime, DirecTV GO, F1, etc. Para instalar Disney plus, tuvimos que conseguir un código, agradecemos nos indiquen como agregar estos canales.
La app ROKU inc no esta disponible para Uruguay.

Roku is available and supported in several regions. The rest of the world in which Roku isn't support we shall call Rest Of The World (ROTW).
When an app developer makes an app, the developer determines a couple of different things: what devices are supported, and where the app is supported.
Regarding what devices are supported, they can say "no" to the old 3500 Stick, for instance, or to the 3700 Express, or to any device they decide isn't sufficient to effectively run their app.
The developer can also pick the region in which the app is supported. If they say only the US, they pick that. If they say US and Canada, they pick that. If they say everywhere Roku is supported, they pick all the regions except ROTW. If they want to support the entire planet, they also pick ROTW.
So, the developer can choose to allow the app to be installed outside Roku supported areas. Only, they then assume the responsibility for it working; Roku doesn't support anything in an unsupported area, by definition. Depending on local laws, or companies fears of changes to laws, or fears of silly but expensive lawsuits, more and more companies choose to not support ROTW. Amazon hasn't for years. Many others are the same way now.

Hola, también vivo en Uruguay y logramos instalar Disney plus con el código, pero a partir de ayer no pudimos verlo más...el canal fue eliminado. ¿Les pasó lo mismo?

Please be aware that channel availability/access on Roku devices will vary from region to region. A Roku device will work in any location, however, channels may not be available on your device in that location, based on each channel provider's discretion.
For more information, you'd want to contact any specific channel/service provider to inquire further about whether they offer their channel/service on the Roku platform in your region.

Buenas!!estuve intentando instalar la app de HBO max en mi Roku Express pero no se encuentra en la tienda. Me comuniqué con el soporte de HBO y un agente hizo de todo para tratar de solucionarlo sin resultados. Me dijo que HBO max si está disponible en LATAM y que el problema de que no apareciera en la tienda de Roku, va más allá de ellos. O sea que el problema estaría en el SO de Roku que excluye a determinados países de soporte, por ej. Uruguay, dejando a muchos usuarios con un dispositivo que no se aprovecha al 100%... Sería bueno que la gente de Roku escuché a estos usuarios y diera alguna solución!!
Compré un ROKU Ultra,. actualmente corriendo la versión 11.0.0 de Roku. No aparece en el listado de canales a agregar el HBO MAX, que sí está disponible en Uruguay y puede verse tanto en navegadores web como Android TV, etc.
El soporte de HBO MAX refirió a un problema de ROKU al no listar el canal y no permitir que se agregue. No parece haber forma de comunicarse con servicio técnico de ROKU, salvo por estos mensajes.
Hi Mary, i've reached out yesterday to HBO MAX support (an actual realtime chat), and assured me that the problem is ROKU not enabling the addition of the channel in their channel list. Please, we are asking for help here.

Estoy en comunicación con HBO-MAX. Después de leer muchos posts aca, (y a pesar de la información contradictoria), llegué a la conclusión de que el problema es de ROKU, al considerar Uruguay como "Rest of the World" (ni siquiera aparece como país dentro de la selección de zona horaria).
Esto significa que solo te va a mostrar los canales que están disponibles en todo el mundo (sin importar si en Uruguay ya estan disponibles HBOMAX, Disney+, Amazon, etc.).
De todos modos, aca te van a decir que no hay impedimento o que el problema es de HBO y como Roku no se vende oficialmente en Uruguay, tampoco se sienten obligados a escalar el problema a alguien que pueda solucionarlo.
Por ahora mi opción ha sido romperle bastante a HBO ya que al menos a ellos los puedo amenazar con desuscribirme. El último mensaje de HBO me pareció al menos algo auspicioso. Te lo copio aca por si te sirve a vos o a otros al menos para referenciar el numero de reclamo:

(cross post) Don't know if its related to our continuous complaints and questions here and in the streaming services that weren't in the list of channels of Roku in Uruguay but... from today on, HBO MAX as well as AMAZON and APPLE are available in the channel list.
Maybe we ll never know, but i prefer to think it was a small victory of us 🙂
