I already pay for a subscription and have classic reel on 2 tv's in my home but trying to add it to my 3rd set and it will not add the channel. So I tried subscribing to the channel (the only option left on the screen) and it says subscription failed. What can I do?
Thanks for the post.
Can you please specify the issue you are experiencing? If you are having an issue trying to add the channel, how are you subscribing to the channel? What are the exact steps that you are taking when trying to add the channel to your Roku TV and what is happening on screen?
With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
I'm experiencing the same issue.
Did the manual updates to the Roku and had the same issues.
Restarted the Roku and had the same issue.
I'm having the same issue where it's telling me that the channel is inactive and requires purchase but I have an active subscription. I'm not sure what I can do to fix this and I'm not sure what Classic Reel is doing about it either.
Same issue here but it's for my Roku players (I have four of them) not for my Roku TV. I have subscribed to Classic Reel for years. Several days ago it would not load when we clicked on it. It asked me to renew my subscription but I never cancelled it. I contacted Roku support via chat and they have tried the standard cancel subscription, remove channel and add again and re-subscribe. HOWEVER when I go to remove the channel, it will not let me remove it. It shows "Removal failed" and to try later. I try every day but it won't remove. Roku support states they have tried everything and told me to contact Classic Reel directly but support does not have contact information for them . That is ridiculous. They didn't have any problem debiting my account for my subscription fee every month. Someone surely knows how to contact the company/person that puts the channel on Roku's platform and get it fixed!
The exact same thing is happening to me. I contacted Roku, they tried a few things and told me to contact the classic reel owners. There is no contact information online that I can find. I restarted, unplugged, updated the channel, reset my device but nothing worked. I can't even remove the channel. Its like the channel is there but it's not. I can't remove it but I can't access it either. I don't know what to do.
Although I was not able to remove it I was able to cancel my subscription. As much as I loved this channel, I'm not going to pay for something I cannot access. I did just update the Roku Support email to let them know it's still not fixed and to please review this thread.
I can't add Classic Reel to my Roku TV either. 2 days ago when I went to click on it to watch something it asked me to purchase a subscription, although I've had one for several years and watch it daily. I have removed the channel, gone into Roku and changed my payment method, reloaded the channel repeatedly, and nothing I can do will allow me to open the channel.
Try it today if you see this response. I clicked on it this morning and it's working with a note that I need to subscribe again (something about an update that Roku was requiring). I didn't do that immediately so when I went back into the channel I no longer see that message. Oh well. I guess they will bill me or send me another renewal message.
Over and over I see people complaining about channels on their Roku. Hate to inform you but just like smartphones Roku does not make all the channels. Companies make different versions of their apps or channels to run on various OS's. If you go to the channel store you will see who developed it. Pure Digital makes Classic Reel. So you need to take it up with them. If the Netflix app is not working on your iPhone is that Apples problem? No It's Netflix's.
