Filmrise has nothing to do with Roku. It's based in New York, while Roku is in the SF bay area. 

Anything happening within the YouTube channel is provided by Google. Roku has no control over what contents are within any channel other than The Roku Channel. 

No Roku device has the ability to "default" to any particular channel. A Roku TV can be configured to start on broadcast TV, but none have the ability to force a channel. I have no idea what you're seeing, but if it's within YouTube then your issue is with Google.

Same here!  I also got an error that said youtube could not be reinstalled to the network check your connection.  It was working 2 hours ago.

-does this issue occur on a specific channel?...only on YouTube—the channel does not open, freezes all control of ROKU, after about a minute ROKU restarts.

-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing...the issue repeats every time thebYouTube channel is selected. I have tried removing the channel, then restarting ROKU, then reinstall YouTube channel, which produces the same results.
