YouTube only playing audio

For some reason on my Roku device YouTube videos only have a black screen and no audio even the ads. Every other part of the app works. I have tried reinstalling the app and changing the video resolution, but that doesn’t work. Every other app I use in there works fine. YouTube also works perfectly fine on several other devices even when streamed to the tv from those devices, it’s just the YouTube Roku app itself. I’m not sure what to do so I was hoping someone here could help me. 

Also everything is securely plugged in and my tv is completely functional

Thank you for bringing the YouTube audio issues on your Roku device to our attention. We're here to assist you! 

To begin with, could you please provide the model and serial number of your Roku device?

In the meantime, we highly recommend following the steps below to see if they can solve the issue:

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote Scroll > Settings > System > About to check your email address.
  2. Remove the channel. Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press (*) to open the Options menu. Select remove channel and confirm.
  3. Restart your Roku device. Go to Settings > System > Power (if you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step) > System restart.
  4. Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.

Please keep us posted on how it goes and we'll go from there.

It is a Roku express 4k+, the serial number is SOHCK34VPNLG and the model number is 3941X2

Could you please let us know if you have tried the troubleshooting steps outlined previously? Additionally, is this the only channel you are experiencing audio issues with? Also, do you have any external speakers connected to your TV?
