Once again YouTube App NOT WORKING on ROKU 2021 June
Model is Roku 5000, settings system About says Roku Player 4200X
It does not give an error, it just bleeps as if I press a bad key
So far I have
restarted twice
Deleted YouTube App from Roku, rebooted and reloaded app - did not work
It was upgraded a few weeks ago and has been working fine UNTIL TODAY
Please post any suggested solutions and PLEASE leave YouTube a 1 star review, also can we have better choices on reviewing apps.
BTW I have no problem with loading Netflix, Plex and Roku Channel
YouTube is the only one NOT WORKING
In searching I found others had this problem on 5 different occasions
So when you hear the Government wants to break up Google companies make sure you support it.

We would recommend checking for a system update on your Roku device (Settings > System > System update > Check now). For more information about how to check for a system update, visit our Support page here: How do I update the software on my Roku® streaming device?
If you are still seeing this issue occur after following the troubleshooting step above, please provide us with the following information:
-Roku device model
-serial number
-device ID
-software OS/version
(these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
Once we have this information we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate team to investigate further.

Thanks for the posts and your patience while we worked to resolve this issue. We have identified the cause and this issue has now been fixed.
For clarification, if you are experiencing an issue with Youtube (or other channels) that state the channel could not run because it could not be reinstalled from the network, please apply the latest fix by following the instructions below to manually check for a software update.
If you are experiencing another issue, not related to what has been described above, we would recommend creating a new post stating what the issue is in detail.
We will be closing this thread out.

Exact same issue here..... please fix Roku it's bad enought that you've nixxed You Tube TV app, now the regular YouTube app is not working either.

I have been having a similar issue. It began happening in either April or May 2021 and I just keep getting the main YouTube screen with a circle that just keeps going round and round, but nothing else happens. If I don't sign into my YouTube account then the app will load up within about 30 seconds, but the minute I've logged into my account it refuses to load up, no matter how long I leave it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it 3 times on different days and in different months (my last attempt was today, after having had it uninstalled for over a month). Please fix the problem Roku.
Same problem here, since at least yesterday. For clarity:
The main YouTube app is not working. When you click on the app, you simply here a beep acknowledging the click, but nothing happens. The app doesn’t open and no error message appears. The original poster, and I, have deleted and reinstalled the app and that did not fix it. App version is 2.20, build 93005141.
Check for updates: Settings/System/System update/Check now

We have the same issue. We have uninstalled and reinstalled.We have done system update.It worked for a day.Have tryed the same things again but didn't work.Please help.It is our favorite channel.
