You need to contact Google and ask them why. If you're paying for Premium, it shouldn't matter one bit what platform is being used. I would doubt that would be legal under US law.

I have YouTube Premium, and I don't get ads on the YouTube channel on Roku.

Gotta ask: are you absolutely certain you are logged in on the app on Roku?

I don't pay for Premium, so yeah I get ads. Yes, I am logged into the channel.

Sorry, I meant to direct that to @donvm 

I was wanting to communicate to him that the app is working for me, indicating the app may be working correctly, and he should verify that he is actually logged in to the correct YouTube account on his Roku app.
