@howieg00 Yeah, media devices sure are cheap these days, so I would suggest keeping the current ones and simply adding some more. These disputes have been going on for decades so there's no particular reason to believe that the next device will be immune. (Exceptions: Amazon devices are unlikely to drop Prime and Google devices are unlikely to drop Youtube, but that's still two devices just to cover two providers.) Then again, I find that simply watching one of the thousands of other still available channels works too.
You are right. Funny thing is I went looking for articles on this Prime Roku, flareup and it seems Amazon has a great deal on THEIR 4k device with bluetooth. Put it in my cart and will think about it.
Roku you are getting people to buy other devices, wakeup you ROBOTS.
I wonder if roku execs read these forums to see just how dissatisfied customers are?
When Roku drops YouTube TV, I will drop all my Roku devices in the trash ! Not sure how this makes sense to you when you will surely lose a sizable portion of your customers to Amazon and the FireStick. Already bought one and it works great! Sorry to have to part ways since I enjoyed the Roku experience ☹️
You are aware that the YouTube TV app was removed from the Roku Channel Store six months ago, right?
And as for YouTube TV on Amazon? Yes it's there now. But you're forgetting that YouTube TV launched in February 2017, and didn't appear on Fire TV until September 2019, two and a half years later.
So, Google will withhold an app from Amazon. And, if Google pulls the app from Roku, not just from the Channel Store, that's a decision that Google makes.
So, yeah sure, run to Amazon if you like, but if you're thinking it is immune from Google pulling apps, you are thinking wrong.

Grab a Chromecast with Google TV. I've used all three and the Chromecast is by far the best. Google won't pull the app from its own device.
Sorry wrong topic
While GoogleTV device is ok, you can get the FireTV4k for $25 still, and I find it better than the GoogleTV. If you want to put addons , then the Google device is better.
Some people can't stand the Amazon-centric user interface on the Fire TV. While they all now have some sort of ads on the home screen (the Google TV home screen finally was pushed to the Nvidia Shield, and I hate it), Amazon really gets annoying with their layout.
What is the CEO's email address? Everyone needs to send him an email demanding this rediculas spat with Google needs resolved now! Angry customers are impatiently waiting!
