You can view YouTube TV. You can access it within the regular YouTube channel. As to the lack of the dedicated YTTV channel, it's simply the way life is right now. It was getting close to a year with no Spectrum channel, then one day they announced it was back. No hint of what was happening in the meantime. I see this going the same way.

Dan, the youtube work-around wasn't working yesterday afternoon. You couldn't "mirror" from your phone either.  I found the youtube route working this AM.

Re: YouTube TV vs Roku negotiations

Unfortunately for Roku, I don't think it will work this time around to haggle for up to a year.  Their competitors are much improved.  I myself have discovered that the latest "Chromecast with Google TV " device will stream anything I could get with Roku (except of course the Roku channel which we never watch) PLUS you can load the YouTube TV app directly.  You can also program the YouTube button on the remote to go directly to YouTube TV.  But there's not a lot of need for even that one step since favorites and similar shows are offered right on the main screen and the corresponding app is automatically loaded upon selecting the show.  I'll wait a bit longer to see if the disputes are resolved but we are liking our 1 TV with the Chromecast device better and better each day and may just decide to  go ahead and upgrade the rest of our TVs

Trashing 8 Roku devices due to YouTube tv dispute.

I will be getting rid of all eight of my Roku devices in favor of devices that will not leave me hanging. I hope this beat with Google and YouTube was worth it Roku.

Are you not able to open the YT app and select "YouTube TV" from the lower left corner of the UI?

Re: YouTubeTV app availability?

Is there an update and/or can the community be updated about the return of the youtube tv app. Simply clicking on the title would be much easier for my partner due to a vision disability. One click as opposed slide over, slide down, slide over again steps that are now in place. As it is working now it is a sort of disability issue.

Re: YouTubeTV app availability?

You'll never hear anything until if/when it is available. Roku doesn't discuss private negotiations. When the Spectrum channel was unavailable for about 9 months, nothing was ever heard until they announced it was back. Don't expect to hear anything from Roku until it's available.

I recently began using the YouTubeTV app.  The only way that I have found to bring this app up via my Roku device (Premiere model) is to go through the YouTube app. (must select YouTube, then find YouTubeTV on an internal list and select it).  I am wondering if a separate YouTubeTV app exists that could be integrated into the Roku lineup or if there are any plans by Roku or YouTube to provide such an app.  Thanks much for any info that can be provided.  Al

There is a separate channel for YouTube TV. But it was pulled from the channel store when the contract between Google and Roku expired. It is still there for users that had it prior to the contract dispute, but it's not visible and cannot be installed to a new account. If/when Google and Roku come to an agreement, it will again be available in the channel store.
