While the draining remote problem is real and definitely an annoyance, I dont see any previous posts from you about it until today, aside from a vague reference to it in a previous post here in this same YT dispute thread, and then this post also replicated at the end of the battery drain thread (also today, and no solicitation for assistance, just the same declaration).

There is no posting outside of this thread (before today) from you about a remote battery draining issue with a solicitation of help/assistance for it.

Regardless, I would keep those Rokus handy for when different apps' functionality/performance doesnt exist or is inferior on the ATVs (implement a multiplatform streaming strategy).

Apple TV is a great platform and worth the extra money.  I’m sure you will be quite happy with it.  We expect equipment to work as advertised and when it doesn’t, we move on.

There are plenty of alternative platforms/subplatforms.

Of course, they arent all equal app-wise or functionality-wise: 

I dont consider any platform that lacks passthrough audio as worth it (ATV4Kx doesnt support passthrough), or that lacks YT/YTTV HDR support completely (ATV4Kv1), or otherwise requires the user force HDR "always on" (ATV4Kv2) in order to get YT/YTTV HDR output very useful, especially when you are paying a premium not to have it, but if it meets your needs and otherwise fits into a multiplatform streaming strategy, then go for it.

When you want passthrough audio and 4K HDR (HDR10 and HLG) YT/YTTV support, you can always switch back to your Roku.

eARC is a great feature, but I'm uncertain what good it does an Apple TV player. eARC is designed for a TV to send the full audio bitstream from a source back to a supporting AVR. If the ATV isn't passing the lossless audio bitstream in the first place, eARC won't make any difference. And ATV does not pass Dolby TrueHD or DTS Master Audio as a bitstream. It does convert it to a lossless PCM format, but that will not include Atmos/DTS:X height audio. Of course, Roku devices don't support lossless audio bitstreaming at all. So if you want the lossless audio tracks without conversion of any kind, then you want the Nvidia Shield. 

EDIT: I just re-read that article, and I see the eARC would function to send audio back out via Apple Air Pods. It's a great idea for that use case, but I still don't see it doing anything for lossless audio.

So lack of Lossless audio is a deal breaker?  Explain why.

If one is streaming personal ripped media from a local server, and one has a supporting audio system, of course one wants the lossless audio. But if one is simply using online providers, such as Netflix, Prime Video, Vudu, etc., then it's not critical at all. It all depends on the use scenario.

Reset my Roku Streaming Stick and lost everything. I was forced to add all of my settings again and I received apps I didn't want or request. I then had to add back and sign in all of services again. What I don't see now is my You Tube TV Service anymore. This is how companies lose customers. Thank goodness I have 5 ROKU devices in my house, but I needed to change devices to where I was using my services. I am now  considering dropping ROKU entirely and just going with my Chrome Cast or my Amazon Fire Stick 4K. I am posting this here because I can't find a telephone number for Customer Service that I can complain to.

You can access your YouTubeTV through the regular YouTube Channel/app. (Lower left)

Nothing wrong with the other streaming  devices you mentioned if you prefer that route.
