Haven't seen any updates on the issue since May. Have both parties given up and there is no hope for an agreement?
They are still negotiating.
Rarely do companies give status updates about ongoing negotiations (so dont expect any).
When an agreement is reached is when you'll be next "updated".
Meanwhile you can access YouTubeTV from within the regular YouTube channel app.
I have decided to return my Hisense TV unless they put pressure on Roku to reinstate YouTube.
I don't care about the negotiations that Roku is having with Google, those are details that I don't care. Don't put the onus on us to contact Google on your behalf.
If you value your customers then sign the deal.
Its your money/choice, however, YouTube hasnt been precluded - just new user's installations of the YouTube TV app.
In fact, you can even use the YT app to access YTTV (whether or not you have the YTTV app) - just open YT, and select "YouTube TV" in the lower left corner.
You should also know that you returning your TV isnt going to put any pressure on Roku, especially considering the fact that Roku already got the money for your transaction - from HiSense when it licensed RokuOS to them for usage on its TVs.
Roku and Google are in a contract dispute, and at this time there is no separate YouTube TV channel. There was one, but it's currently unavailable, which is why Google added access to TYTV through the regular YouTube channel. If/when they resolve the dispute the channel will return.
I will not discontinue youtube tv. I will yank every roku device in my house and replace with with fire sticks. I'm giving Roku one day.
Okay. You do realize that you can watch YouTube TV by launching the YouTube app and scrolling down to YouTube TV link on the menu at the left, right? But you be you.
If you go with Amazon devices, I'm going to suggest the Fire TV Stick 4K. The lesser devices are not worth the trouble, as they are very underpowered devices.

I absolutely accept as true with you however I would switch to fubo television and cancel YouTube television however fubo tv does not have CNN and I often Watch CNN and I do now not need to exchange to cable due to the fact it's miles to luxurious. I clearly wish google and make a settlement with Roku.
What is the current status of their negotiations? This has been going on for months! Come on get this settled!
