Years ago, a little over a decade #Roku went on a large public fit about how #Google was charging too much and their #software/#hardware was too technical for #Roku and how there were too many advertisements on #YouTube because of #Google. At the time I had just gotten my first #Roku #streaming #device and had previously been using an #RCA streaming device. The #RCA had no problem keeping up with #YouTube and its #advertisements. It was also a couple of years old and about half the price of the cheapest Roku streaming device at the time. The Roku device had its own advertisements on their home screen and gladly offered #Hulu a streaming service chock full of advertisements. Now Roku has it's own streaming #channel that features many advertisements and videos available on YouTube. The fact that Roku is attempting to currently once again blame YouTube is laughable. I highly doubt that whatever costs #YouTubeTV would incur could not be absorbed by Roku's extravagant profits. Have you seen how much they charge for a replacement remote control? Roku simply refuses to absorb the costs and is speaking about passing them onto customers because they clearly favor their own #profits and #bonuses over customer service and satisfaction. Imagine thinking consumers will truly back your company's lackluster streaming device service and channel of lackluster YouTube streamers (mainly, of course, white males and one who calls his young child a loser) instead of switching to a streaming device service that is able to understand and accommodate not only their customers' interests but the general public's as well. Roku lied years ago, specifically about Google and YouTube, their track record leads me to believe they are 100% lying now as well.

You say "white males" like that's a bad thing.

I have been happy with both You Tube TV & Roku but that can change. Supposedly Roku is concerned with my info...let me be the judge of that! I do not need to have this disruption esp when there are many other venues for me to access without the hassle. Unless Roku wants to lose another customer I suggest they go back to the conference table and come up with a solution that all can live with.
I am very disappointed about the possible removal of YoutubeTV channel from Roku. This would be a big loss!
I am with you in that I am not dropping YTTV, actually I already ordered the new Chromecast dongle, just in case.
The problem is I am not so sure Roku is going to give in. I just looked at the numbers and from what I see YTTV is only about 3 million users , which is way lower than Hulu (39 million). Now YTTV has only one tier, while Hulu has 3 or 4 . Their live TV tier seems more expensive than YTTV. So maybe for 2 million lost YTTv users Roku doesn't care (not all 3million are using Roku).
Actually I am shocked that YTTV has so few users and a little worried that with so few users Google may just drop the service. So to get live TV most people seem to have stayed with the cable companies. So what is all this switch to streaming I hear about.
I and every other adult should control what permissions I give utube TV. I have 2 roku TVs and 2 roku sticks. If I have to buy any new products to watch utubetv I will never buy another roku product. Roku think this thru let adults control permissions give to utube.
LOL!!
There's a similar issue going on with YouTube TV, also.

If you purchased them recently, why not just return them for a refund and replace them with chrome devices which would be dedicated to google products anyways.
