I recently began using the YouTubeTV app. The only way that I have found to bring this app up via my Roku device (Premiere model) is to go through the YouTube app. (must select YouTube, then find YouTubeTV on an internal list and select it). I am wondering if a separate YouTubeTV app exists that could be integrated into the Roku lineup or if there are any plans by Roku or YouTube to provide such an app. Thanks much for any info that can be provided. Hi everyone,
I just saw the email from Roku this morning about the contract dispute with Google over YouTube TV. Anyone know how to actually contact Google about this?
I got the same message at 8:13 and I called google and they said that they didn’t know anything about this. I think that maybe it might be a scam because the email is roku@emailsn.roku.com but I think the email that they use is noreply@roku.com. I just hope that they don’t take YouTube tv down from roku.
Yes, I would like more information on this as well. The e-mail recommended, "We encourage you to contact Google"... but Google is a BIG company and we would really need a point of contact, an e-mail, a group, a division or something... "contact Google" just doesn't work. 😞
What we need to do is to get enough people to contact google that use roku’s to use YouTube tv that they will keep it. Because I am guessing that a lot of people use YouTube tv on roku.
Spectrum TV app was removed from Roku not long ago. And now YouTubeTV!? Makes me wonder what's really going on. It's beginning to sound like the issue is really with Roku and not these other companies?!
I'm hoping that you are right. I also checked through my email and didn't find another from that sender, even though I have 2+ years of emails from Roku. Here's hoping it's just a big misunderstanding!
I believe that because also I use a Apple TV you would think that they would remove YouTube tv from that to since it is a Apple product.
I received the email as well and replied to them giving Roku my full support. As a computing professional let me just state that I believe Google is out-of-control and has been for a long time now. If Roku cannot reach an agreement that is good for consumers then I am fine with them removing YouTubeTV and I will cancel my YouTubeTV subscription and go back to cable but will remain a Roku customer as long as they continue to make decisions that are in the best interest of the consumer. I'm not going to waste my time contacting Google -- I vote with my $$$.
I totally agree with you but I would switch to fubo tv and cancel YouTube YouTube tv but fubo tv does not have cnn and I mostly Watch cnn and I do not want to switch to cable because it is to expensive. I really hope google and make a agreement with roku.
