YTTV on Roku will not "start from the beginning" on currently recording programs

I've configured NFL games to be recorded and added to my YTTV library.

I go to my library list and during a game that is actually currently being recorded, I select it and I get 3 options: 1) Join Live , 2) Catch up to live through key plays , and , 3) Start from the beginning.

While a game is actually being recorded, options 2 and 3 have stopped working. 2 usually states there aren't any plays available and 3 will simply go to the live game and not have any recorded history to go back.

This is a new behavior and appears to be specific to the Roku YTTV app since I've tried this on both my Android and LG YTTV apps and this functionality works fine.

Re: YTTV on Roku will not "start from the beginning" on currently recording programs

Hi @karlkras,

Welcome, and thanks for posting here in the Roku Community!

We're glad to assist you with your problem with the YouTube TV app. What Roku device are you using right now? (e.g., Roku Express, Roku Streambar, Roku TV—specify TV) Do you currently subscribe to YouTube TV? Are you getting any error messages or error codes? Please be advised that your Roku streaming player or Roku TV provides you with access to stream movies and TV shows over the internet but does not have built-in storage for downloading or recording directly to the device. However, if their streaming channel offers a cloud DVR feature, you can schedule and store recordings in a content provider’s online storage center. You can check here for more details on how to record movies and TV shows using a cloud DVR. Also, each streaming channel with a cloud DVR offers different subscription levels with varying limits on storage and the number of shows that can be recorded at one time. You can inquire with the content provider for more details.

We hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Eunice
