Xfinity sports package won’t stream. Says subscribe but we already do.

Jump to solution

Yesterday, just when all the NFL games start Roku will not stream any sport stations thru Xfinity. Including the sports package we paid for with Redzone. It says must subscribe. But we already did. And ESPN AND NFL network do not require a subscription. So only the one tv with Xfinity box could be used.  WTF? And the NFL app on Roku doesn’t give Xfinity as a provider. So what’s up?

There is one variation I'm not seeing, and it's an important one. To reinstall an app, there are three steps, and the order is important.

  1. Remove the app
  2. Reboot the Roku
  3. Reinstall the app

I don't see step 2 listed in what you did. You gotta do step 2. And, you gotta do it between step 1 and step 3. Any other order won't do.

That can be read to say it worked, but then stopped at the time the games kicked off. Is that what you are saying? That the sports stations worked, but then stopped working when the games started?

Sorry, no it was when I turned on the television to watch, as our ravens game was the late afternoon game, so I was surfing. And trying to watch Redzone. But not able to. And checked today. Still the same issue. All Roku software updated. We deleted Xfinity and reinstalled. Everything but taking the box outside and swinging it over our head while dancing. Sigh. Can only watch my sports on cable box on one tv.
