When I try to load the Xfinity app- it goes to the loading screen for a moment then kicks back to the home screen. I have tried the app on all 3 of my TV's with different model Roku's with no luck. I have removed and re-added the channel and that didnt work. App does work on smart TV so has to be a Roku issue.
Keep in mind that removing and re-adding an app is a three step process, not a two-step process. If you skip a step, or do them out of order, it won't work.
All three steps, in that order. Try that and see if the app starts working.

I tried the 3 steps on my Roku Ultra and it did not work either. I am having the exact same issue with Xfinity Streaming channel, as well.
I have the same problem which started yesterday. I rebooted my modem and followed the 3 steps, was on a chat with Xfinity for 45 minutes. We tried the channel on my computer in incognito and it worked fine. Still can't get Xfinity to work on our 2 tv's. All the other channels are fine. What else can we do?
I am having the very same issue with my Roku and the Xfinity App.
It started around 3:30 p.m. CST yesterday.
I have tried restarting my modem, removing the Xfinity App, adding the Xfinity App.
It acts like it is working.....says it is Initializing, shows the lineup briefly and then goes back to the main menu.
I tried it on three (3) TVs and it does not work!
Thanks for the idea, but unfortunately that process does not help for this problem.
Exact sam problem on my two TV's with ROKU sticks. Any ideas on how to get this Xfinity app to work?

Remove the channel then reinstall it. See if that helps. Any other problems, contact Xfinity directly.
I'm so glad I checked this chat! Now I know I'm not insane! Re-installed 3 times... driving me crazy. Good to hear I'm not the only one.
I've got two TV's with Roku sticks and the Xfinity beta app is a real disappointment. Im switching to ATT for internet service only and will just stream content. Might get a new roku TV as that OS has more apps/channels than other smart TV operating systems. I'm done trying to figure out the Xfinity app. Its been in existence for many years and still beta. Comcast would rather you rent a box to watch thier channels I suppose. Customer service with them is non existent, not going to miss it.
BTW tried the suggested procedure to get the app to work several times, still no luck.
