I didn't think it was going to go anywhere. There's too much already available that people weren't going to pay for another service.
90% of people who have a TV provider already have CNN. Plus the lack of device support at launch was horrible
To summarize from most of the articles: It launched just as the Discovery/HBO merger was finalized. The new bosses wanted to clean things up. It didn't offer live news, due to restrictive agreements with the cable/satellite and similar services. With the pandemic ebbing, and high inflation, streaming overall is starting to flatten out, if not decline. People either don't have the time or money to spend on TV anymore.
