Ok, just want to add my frustration to this discussion. I’m paying you and you tube tv and you can’t seem to play nice together. GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER!!! I can’t understand how this **bleep** is happening. I guess the next step is deleting both you and YouTube TV. Maybe time to try a Firestick?
If you guys don't fix the YouTube TV and YouTube app issue, I'm ditching Roku and going to Apple TV or Amazon Fire stick. We only have Roku's to stream YouTube TV.
Fix this!! or we're outta here!
Thank goodness only 1 TV out of 5 needs the Roku’s we have on them. They can keep their **bleep** if this isn’t fixed by the time I get a Firestick and leave bad reviews on Amazon where I bought them.
Update, firestick will be here Sunday. Problem solved!
Restart the entire system, uninstall reinstalled. Everything is up to date on my Roku. I don't have the aqua screen saver either. Help!!! My boyfriend and i use youtube for our date nights and for relaxing after work.
There have been sporadic reports of issues with YouTube, but it's certainly not a universal problem. Google/YouTube has been working it, and many have reported it resolved, but not everyone.
It could be that the issue stored some stray data on your Roku device that's keeping it from working. So, there is a certain way to do a reinstall that clears that out. Gotta be done this way, as any other way won't clear it out:
Some do the reboot out of order. Don't. Gotta be the second step.

So I removed the You Tube TV channel before coming to this forum thinking I would simply reinstall the channel and now it is completely gone and won’t even come up when I do a channel search. What do I do now to get You Tube TV back on my Roku channel lineup?
YouTube and YouTube TV on my main TV started doing this this morning. Shut the TV off at 11:00 last night after watching my shows as we do everyday. This morning nothing. Didn't try any other apps I had to come to work. Other TV is working fine. First thing I did was restart on the TV. Then I deleted some channels because it said there was not enough space. Did not mess with YouTube TV or YouTube. I did a system update it says it was just updated yesterday anyway. Still nothing. This is the main TV in the house.
Does the factory reset take away all the channels?
In an attempt to troubleshoot this issue (we couldn't access our Youtube TV subscription) I uninstalled the app and as I see is mentioned here it is not available to reinstall. I wish I had known that before! How will I know when the dispute has been resolved so I can watch this again? Or maybe I just need to buy a FireStick ...
To resolve the Hdpc issue, yesterday I did the software update then I unplugged hdmi ports, power sources, roku stick, then replugged everything back in and that seemed to take care of that issue excpet getting YouTubeTv to load.
Then, today I did the software update. I restarted the system. The only way that I can get YouTubeTV is to go through the You Tube channel and then scroll down. Although I am glad to have that paid channel back, is Roku going to add the YouTubeTV channel icon back so that we don't have to go through the extra step of going to YouTube in order to access YouTubeTV?
