Re: Roku stands up to Google the tech bully

I'm guessing you're not a Youtube TV subscriber Smiley Frustrated I love Roku (have multiple devices) but I love YTTV more. Roku should let the DOJ sort it out & not penalize their customers. Consumers can always delete the app if they are in agreement with Roku.

To get a YouTube fix one could buy an Amazon Firestick in furtherance of the go-along-to-get-along-at-any-cost mentality. Amazon would just adore another such customer. Get one of their little talking "assistant" devices that watches and listens to everything one does too. It's the new normal, right?

Agree! Rumble, and now Gettr, also Telegram are THE BEST places for uncensored info. Tho Rumble is sometimes sketchy about certain topics, but mostly open to all.

I AGREE.

Google has a proven track record of censoring both apps in their playstore, and channels and comments on YouTube.

In addition, they were willing to work with China (CCP) to develope teck to both track their citizens and censor what they see and hear.

They are ABSOLUTELY UNTRUSTWORTHY.

If Google doesn't back down, they may be no resolution. And since they sell a competing streaming player, they may decide they don't need Roku. I think that would be short-sighted of them, but they are both big corporations, and they are going to do what they feel is best for their stockholders. The end users (us) don't mean much to them, and I think that's short-sighted as well.

Re: YouTube TV app no longer available

I don't see where  the workaround has been posted to this forum.

Download the normal You Tube application, (Not You Tube TV), open, scroll all the way left and down. You can access YouTube TV from there. It's a bit more cumbersome, but no need to cancel everything or look for another solution.

I can't stand this because literally its pointless. Why should we suffer? I want the app back. Its making everything really hard. @Cori01

Hear, hear!! End the stupid dispute already! You know the only ones making out on prolonging it are the lawyers....They have likely made enough already. So serve your customer base - we are as important as your investors. I am ready to dump all roku devices - where does that leave you, corporate roku??
