Re: Why is Roku still carrying OAN and Newsmax?

You are missing the point. Dollars make the world go round. The fact that what these lies have done is caused people to attack our democracy and people died. It is morally corrupt to say well that has no effect on others. Again that is why I object to any money I spend that promotes that kind of thing. It is my right and if you actually believed in this country you would understand that this is exactly what people who believe these stations are dangerous should do. If watching that nonsense didn't result in gun shootings, incidents against minorities and the attack on Jan 6 I would say watch whatever you wish. It is the actions of the people that do that kind of thing that I want to defend. And there are so many studies out that say those news stations have directly contributed to this behavior. Either you get it or you don't. If you don't like my stand, it is your right to say so. I can choose to dismiss it which I do. You seem to have a variety of opinions about my protest calling it bullying, against free speech, etc. That is exactly the opposite of what a peaceful protest is...an example of something that is bullying and dangerous is Jan 6, a direct result of the lies being broadcast on these networks.

Re: Why is Roku still carrying OAN and Newsmax?

CNN is finally making money. Under a new plan anyone can pay $20.00 in any airport, bar or other to change the channel. The response has been huge.

Typical liberal.. Anything you disagree with is hate speech. OAN is one of my favorites and reports real news.  If you don't like it because it tells how awful Biden and the Obama Presidency have been for Americans change the channell.

Re: Why is Roku still carrying OAN and Newsmax?

P.P.S I wonder if Roku carried a network that showed child porn, would you be upset and claim people are trying to control content? Because by not allowing that **bleep**, that is exactly what they are doing. Societies often determine what is extreme and make no mistake..that is what we are talking about. This isn't about controlling people's choices or anything at all to do with freedom. This is about stations that for-profit are lying to their viewers because they have determined HATE sells. If there were not such horrific dangerous results to our society then nobody would give a **bleep**. We have people believing these blatant lies and as a result, people die. Either you get it or you don't. Even Fox has stated as a defense in their numerous lawsuits that only fools would believe the things they are saying. They are entertainment. Guess what? That defense worked.

Stupid irrelevant conversation, you literally control your own content with a remote. If you support the LGBTQ+ , then you support child porn.

@JRMFlorida

I consider this a civil discourse, and I hope you take it as such.  But the link you posted is a seperate case and does not dismiss the prior settlement agreement reached.  Seperate proceeding, seperate issue. CNN not included in that proceeding as a settlement was previously reached between the parties.

I mention the above only to indicate that you misunderstood the above facts and perhaps you may be misundertanding other facts as well that you want others to take as a given.

What I find concerning at times is individuals that state that they are entitled to their opinion, but in the next breath wish to express that others are not entitled to theirs unless they agree with the prior stated opinion.

Regarding your expression on businesses, I believe this divisiveness is actually helping new businesses.  For every company that reacts to previous successful tactics (which I do consider bullying) by cancelling something (a product, a show, a person, etc.), it is positive to see another company step up and offer that same cancelled entity an opportunity to thrive elsewhere.  For every Gillette, there is a Jeremy's Razor.

Seems fruitless to me running around telling others what to do and how to think.  Personally, I just like to watch my TV in peace and end the day on a nice, comfortable My Pillow. (great discounts still available).

Re: Why is Roku still carrying OAN and Newsmax?

Ok well I am going to answer this one reply but after this  you are going to have to figure it out on your own.    First, do you know what it means when somebody describes somebody else as a Karen LOL.  Calling people names because they don't like what is being said is exactly the definition of being a Karen. Ironic. Anyway, when I don't like what somebody is saying or writing I either overlook it, laugh at it or if it is dangerous and could be a serious proven problem I call it out for what it is....which is what I am doing here.  Anyway, a good attempt at a distraction but it actually helped clarify for those a little confused. 🙂 Here's the point. If you have to lie, or for that matter call names to achieve to make your objective then perhaps that objective isn't worth having. These news outlets lie on a daily basis. I am going to guess that you don't accept that and thus don't understand why many object to their message and the harm it has caused.....how could you if you accept what they say as truth?  Perhaps you don't see it because you don't want to see it. But there are real ways to actually find out. You don't have to accept anything I write. Do some research and check it out for yourself.  Maybe when you find the harm these outlets have caused you will see things differently. Maybe not. If innocent people are killed over misinformation then it might be hard to find something that will matter to you.  I personally don't want to see people being so misled. It often causes them to do dangerous things to themselves and others. It wouldn't take much for you to research the things I write here and I am going to guess you probably know that. So you choose not to. That means you also overlook things like dedicated officers defending our capital against the intense hate and misinformation these organizations fed their audience. These news organizations promoted **bleep** like voting machines were corrupted by some dead leader in Brazil...yeah I would call that message hate because of its intention. It isn't the organization or even the people it is the message. If you have an issue with what I am writing then you are having an issue with established facts. Don't believe me then go check it out for yourself if you aren't afraid to admit you've been conned. No shame in admitting it, the shame comes if you are too afraid to find out and once you do continue to allow it in my opinion. If you really believe they are not frauds then nothing to be afraid of if you looked into it. But dude you already know all this and if you don't then....sorry. Nature is cruel sometimes.

Well while the real adults worry about real world problems, like the mental and physical molestation of our children, illegal immigration and a overbearing, wasteful government.

You keep worrying about a news network, when the fact is most none of them are honest. You keep believing the deception of CNN, CNBC, ABC, WP, AP, MSNBC, BBC, FOX, Politicians. They all lie for a personal benefit. You going to ask they all are banned right? You yourself are a liar, and so am i.

All I read from you are rhetoric and smears. You cited ZERO hate. I do not trust you, what a silly thing to suggest. You oppose free speech, and use the now familiar tactic of calling it sensible free enterprise.

ROKU sells a legitimate product to willing consumers. Notice we do not come to this site to make noise arguing for CNN to be removed. You are the one making the charges, and you cannot back it up.

Don't you have anything better to do? This is not a political site, this is about device usage.

If ROKU operated like you want it to, it would flounder like you heroes at CNN. Your beloved NPR is government funded, unlike ROKU.
