My Hulu is not working through Roku but it is working while just using it through my smart tv. We bought the Roku in order to watch Hulu Live but now feel like it was a waste as it will not work through it. Disney + Netflix and others work just fine, just not Hulu. We have tried the restarts and deleting and reinstalling. Suggestions?
It's working on my TCL Roku TV. I don't use Hulu Live -- just standard Hulu. Have you tried resetting your Roku?
Settings -> System -> Power -> System Restart
We have tried resetting. It is the same on both in our house. We just purchased them both.
Thanks for the post.
Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing? What are you seeing? What are you doing when this issue happens?
With more information we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
The Hulu app loads just fine. We can see everything but when we click on a program, live or otherwise, we get the message “we’re having trouble playing this.” Under it it says rest assure we’re working on it. In the meantime, it may help to restart the video. It doesn’t help though.
Thanks for the update.
Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.
Does this clear up the issue you are seeing? Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Danny
It is still not working. We are experiencing the same issue. We have now wasted over a week with subscribing to Hulu live. We may just order an Amazon Firestick.
Thank you Danny for your help.
Thanks for the update.
If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to Hulu directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the Hulu channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.

I've been going down the same rabbit hole. Can someone take accountability? Roku says it's Hulu's fault, Hulu says it's Roku's fault. I've been on the phone with Hulu for hours doing serial delete apps and restarts. Nothing works.
