Why can't I install Spectrum app on Roku TV?

My wife and I apparently need to return this ROKU tv we bought from Walmart, since it’s worthless to us since we can’t get the Spectrum app installed. Anyone have any suggestions on what to replace the ROKU tv with, so we can get Spectrum, since we don’t have a choice ?

Re: Scam

Find what devices the Spectrum app is available on. You don't need to replace the TV if it's something like FireTV, Apple TV, or similar. You can just plug them into your TV.

Re: Scam

Yeah, keep in mind that any TV you get this week could be rendered "worthless" next week by the standard that you have set. I think you're better off with multiple streaming devices since they are tiny and cost around $30 rather than replacing TVs every time a deal fails to happen.  You might also consider switching your TV service to something like Sling TV.  Since services like that don't rent cable boxes, they are probably more inclined to keep their deals with streaming platforms current.

Re: Scam

Spectrum is not available on Fire TV devices. I've heard that Samsung smart TVs are supported, and perhaps the XBox. That's about it. Oh, Chromecast I think was one more. That would be the lowest cost device.

It is not in Spectrum's interests to come to an agreement with Roku. This way they can force more users to rent a cable box from them. A Roku app loses them significant income.

All that said, I hope Spectrum does the right thing and agree to terms with Roku and get their channel back in the store. I have no personal interest in this, but I hope for all your sakes that it gets resolved.
