Why does Discovery Plus not give you the option to disable auto-play? In the past you could at least cancel the next episode auto playing at the end of the one being watched but now even that doesn’t work. TCL Roku tv is on OS 10.5 now.
Hello @kris4183
Thanks for the post.
Channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves. We suggest reaching out to Discovery+'s customer support team to see if they have any additional settings or options within their channel that may allow the functionality you are looking for.
You can contact them here: https://help.discoveryplus.com/hc/en-us
We appreciate your understanding.
All the best,
Kariza

What I am wondering is this… Why is Roku handing this off to customers to take care of?
I’ve emailed them several times on issues like this. Using the link you suggested.
Why don’t you take care of it instead of us? I think Roku would have a little bit more power to be heard.
Having said that, if everyone that sees this note in the forum would go in right to The link you indicated, and complain about the auto play and the fact that they stick unwanted shows into ‘continue watching’ as a result, maybe it would get addressed.
I recommend telling them to escalate and to advise the Head of development. Otherwise you’ll just get this nice nice response saying we try to please our customers blah blah blah.
Roku’s doesn’t make the Discovery+ channel. It’s developed by Discovery. Therefore it is their responsibility not Roku’s. Just like apps on your smart phone. If an app on your iPhone is not working properly and it’s made by another developer other than Apple it’s not Apple‘s problem.
