When I pause say YouTube, and then go to unpause it, ROKU is adding a new channel to my list. This happens daily and is very frustrating. Thoughts?
Hi @rodtag
Thanks for the post.
For clarification, are you seeing the channel that was downloaded automatically to your Roku home screen? Do you by chance have multiple Roku devices linked to one email address? If yes, that may be a factor why you are seeing new channels on your list.
Channels are being added to the Roku account directly. Even though a channel was installed using another Roku device, it will also reflect on other Roku devices linked to the Roku account it was downloaded to.
I hope this helps! Let us know if you have further questions.
All the best,
Kariza
Is the screen saver coming on? Is it City Stroll, Movie Magic, or one of those that contains links to apps (Roku calls them "channels")? If so, you may be initiating it by the way you're exiting the screen saver. Use the BACK or HOME button to exit screen savers, not OK or PLAY.

This always occurs when I hit the back button. I never hit the play on the screen saver, but I will double check next time. Thanks for the reply. I will also set all ROKUs to the same set of channels. The odd thing here is it is not aligning all the channels. It only seems to push the new ones like YouTubeTV and TUBI.
That is odd.
Tubi makes sense, as they advertise on Roku and those ads and the app can be accessed when the cursor is on the ad and OK or PLAY is pressed. YouTube TV is unexpected, as YouTube TV isn't in the current Roku library since the contract expired several months back. When it's removed from an account, the devices on that account usually can't get them back.
