Who is responsible for the code behind autoplay next movie/episode?

If there is one "feature" I am sick enough of to quit streaming and go back to DVDs, it is autoplay. Netflix learned. HBO learned. But now we have Apple. I'm listening to the music over the closing credits of a movie and all of a sudden find myself torn out of my enjoyment by the dissonance of different music playing what a commercial? A movie they've chosen for me? I must jump through hoops in a few seconds or I don't get to do what I AM PAYING FOR. So my question is this. Does ROKU have an API that is behind this feature? Or is it 100% Apple? If it is Roku, what do we have to do to convince them that they lose by doing this? Does Chromecast do the same thing? Because I am ready to ditch the whole thing.

It is 100% up to the developer of the channel/app and I hope there's a special place in **bleep** reserved for developers that foist this "feature" upon their users.
