When watching Xfinity channels through Roku Express results in at least one crash on each login

I have replaced one Roku Express but the same thing happens on the new one connected to on of my of my TV's.  Each time I log in the Xfinity channel, it begins to pay for about 30 seconds and terminates and goes back to the opening screen.  The same thing happens on different channels.  This happens multiple time each day.  I have rebooted my router and rebooted the Roku device but nothing helps.  I checked the signal strength and network connection and it always shows strong connectivity.  I looked through the Roku discussion boards and there is nothing close to this situation.  What do I do to fix?  Is it a Roku problem or Xfinity?

Re: When watching Xfinity channels through Roku Express results in at least one crash on each login

Hi @smkkimmel

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community!

Could you tell us how are you powering your Roku Express? Is it connected to the USB port of the TV or to a wall outlet? In some cases, the USB power provided by the TV is not sufficient to power the device. Even though your Roku device may appear to be working, running with insufficient power can lead to instability, crashing, and other unpredictable behavior.

Using the included power cord and power adapter, we suggest plugging your Roku into a working power outlet in the wall. Powering it through a power outlet in the wall has the additional advantage that your Roku player will not need to power up every time you turn on your TV.

Let us know if there's any difference after.

All the best,
Kariza
