When I play vertical personal media (photos, Videos) on TV they are in the wrong direction...

And here it is Sept 29, 2022 and the problem with auto rotating of pictures still exists.  I am a new Roku owner so I hope I do not have this same experience with other Roku apps.

Re: When I play vertical personal media (photos, Videos) on TV they are in the wrong direction...

Hi @Eaglesan

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Please provide us with the following information for further investigation:

  1. Roku device model, Serial number, Device ID, Software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  2. RMP version/build (this can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
  3. Tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
  4. Steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
  5. Photo of the issue

Once we have the information needed, we'll be able to forward it to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further.

All the best,
Kariza

Re: When I play vertical personal media (photos, Videos) on TV they are in the wrong direction...

I have 4 different Roku devices and am using Photostream as a screensaver on all. The images are becoming rotated without any action from me. The Photostream images, if I look on the web (at "My Streams") are getting rotated there! So all devices see the seemingly arbitrary rotation of different photostream images. I rotated them to the desired (upright) positions in "My Streams" but in time I'm sure they will rotate again. Is this bug known? Is there a way to stop the rotation corruption? Thanks for your consideration....
