I used to watch Hockey on NHL LIVE on Roku. Now the NHL has sold those rights in Canada to SN NOW. But I cant find an SN NOW app on Roku? Will it be offered? Whats the status of this? Can someone give me some answers? I may have to quit Roku if I cant watch Hockey?
Sportsnet NOW is a service of Rogers Sports & Media. Their website shows support for Apple TV, Chromecast, Xbox, PlayStation, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV, but no mention of Roku.
Looks like you can probably stream to a mobile device, and then cast to your TV if you're able.
Let Rogers know you want Sportsnet NOW on Roku: RogersSportsMedia@rci.rogers.com
It is up to the provider to develop a channel for the Roku platform. Roku does not create these channels.
Best place to ask would be at SportsNet (https://www.snnow.ca/).
From looking around, seems only available on Apple TV, Chromecast, Xbox, PlayStation, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV. (again, from https://www.snnow.ca/).
As with any content that does not have a dedicated/developed channel for Roku, you can subscribe to the service directly on their website. Since Sportsnet Now offers a "Watch Live" section on their website (https://watch.sportsnet.ca/), you can cast it to your Roku via a mobile device, or use an HDMI cable directly from a laptop to the TV and bypass the Roku altogether.
I got the run around at Rogers. So in the end I just bough a fire stick to plug into back of Roku TV. That should do it, but I am a little pissed I had to buy it.
Thanks for responding.
Cheers
