I ended up fixing this by disabling HDR, which isn't easy to do. From your home screen, on your Roku remote: Press Home button (X5), rewind, down, fast forward, down, rewind. Select Change HDR Mode > Disable HDR.
Then when you open Peacock again it won't use HDR and the colors should look normal. Note that this seems to disable HDR for everything, not just Peacock where it's a problem. So might want to set it back later.

That trick worked (disabling hdr on the Roku tv)
1. On your Roku remote, press the Home button five times, then press rewind, down, fast forward, down, rewind.
2. Select Change HDR Mode.
3. Select Disable HDR.
In no way should we have to do this though to get our TV's to work properly with peacock (ex. live NFL games).
An update fix needs to be pushed, so that hdr isn't making the games looks washed out, dull, grayish.
Disabling it, the colors look good, as they should.

What trick worked? I know getting rid of Peacock worked for me. I have no other channel or app that looks like what Peacock did on my 4K Roku so no it’s not the TV. That was my solution. Thanks

This worked for me thank you.

Same issue here. I’ll try the troubleshooting method they’ve mentioned

Same here. Watching the football game last night, you would swear they were playing in dense fog or haze. Only an issue on some items in Peacock. Same thing when I tried to watch a movie the other night on Peacock. In the middle of the movie, it became washed out to the point it was not enjoyable watching. I just cancelled my Peacock subscription. Can't be bothered.

I have been contacted several times about this. Turning the HDR off did not resolve the issue for me. As I said, I wasn't watching Peacock that much so I just cancelled my subscription. None of my other streaming services (Netflix, Prime, etc...) have this issue.

This is happing for me as well. Any update for a possible fix other than having to disable HDR?? I have been plugging in my old HD Antenna to watch NBC football rather than watching on Peacock. I am experiencing a very white washed out picture.

Hello Hayuesen,
Thanks for sharing this concern with us.
Disabling HDR somehow sorts out issues with display for other users. Have you tried performing the steps mentioned to reproduce the issue prior to canceling your subscription? If so, may we know if it works for you?
Your response is highly appreciated.
Sincerely,

I did indeed, to no avail. I tried altering the display settings in many ways, but the screen remained washed out. It was specific to the Peacock streaming. Other services (Prime, Netflix, etc...) experienced no such issues. In the end, I wasn't watching Peacock enough to go to any additional effort.
