Upgrade Rock device — NO YouTube TV app

I upgraded my Roku device and even though I can access YouTube TV on any other device I already have it is NOT available to the new device.  DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ROKU AT THIS POINT IF YOU WANT TO KEEP WATCHING WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE.

Just to be clear, you have an active YouTube TV account, and have it installed and running on other Roku devices?

If so, are you also saying that going here doesn't offer it? Streaming Channels > Search Channels : [typing "YouTube"]

Re: Upgrade Rock device — NO YouTube TV app

I think what is being said is that, if you register the new device here , under the same email with Roku, then any apps you have on your other Roku's will automatically be downloaded to the new Roku. So be sure that you have registered the new device here, then hook up to the internet (set your router password), and give it 10-20 minutes. Perhaps I have that backward , you hook up to internet first . In any case be sure the new Roku is showing with your other devices on the my account page.

I have seen this work in the past. Also because of this dispute with Yttv, I am done with Roku, so No I am not a Roku shill.

I think you mixed up your words.

Do you have a roku account... You are here so I assume you do .

1. Login to roku.com and enter your password if asked.

2. Click on the icon on the top left, with the picture of person, and then "My Account"

3 On the bottom of the page click on Link a device in Purple. Be sure you device is on your home network. I think your new device will show a code on the TV enter it . In a few minutes all the apps from the old roku will also be on the new roku (but they may be in a different order).

Maybe this is easier.

About 3:50 into the video he shows you how to link. Watch the entire video

Good luck,

If a problem try calling Roku, but I do not know if you can reach them.
