I have Directv for my internet service. When I use my Roku to watch the Fox News channel I get the message that the channel is not available on my Spectrum account. I verified that my Roku has Directv as my provider. I also verified the my Fox News app has Directv as my provider. Getting to be a real pain. Might look into Firestick if I can’t get this resolved.

Well, it's not the Roku that is giving you that error message. It's coming from the channel/app, and Roku has nothing to do with that. Since the problem is with the Fox News channel, you need to contact them for assistance. I can't find any specific contact info for their streaming device support, but here's their general web support page.

It sounds like the Fox news app thinks your service provider is Spectrum.  Did you have Spectrum in the past?  As indicated by another response this is not a Roku problem.

I have the same message but have never had spectrum, when I reconnect the roku it will go away but it is a real pain.

I have the same issue. I do not have Spectrum, and I have to go through a pain in the **bleep** process to watch FNC on Roku. I finally moved my Firestick to my main TV. At least the app works on their platform, and on my iPad. Roku keeps steering people to FNC for help, but I believe the issue is on the Roku side, and I am not so sure that it isn't intentional. I have followed all of the instructions and nothing provided has helped. There is definitely a crossover glitch between Spectrum and FNC, and it appears to be on the Roku side.

Functionality within a channel is not controlled by Roku. I'm not saying that there might be something in the Roku OS that isn't working correctly with the channel, but it's not something Roku can resolve. The channel provider is the only one that can resolve the issue. It is meaningless to compare a channel on a Roku device with the "same" app on a different platform. They are written in a completely different programming language, and even if they look identical they are completely different apps. Fox News is the only place that can address the issue with their channel functionality.

I have the same problem.  Never had spectrum.  Roku thinks I do though

I loaded Fox New Channel and authenticated with Dish and I was able to view it.  Next time I went to Fox News Channel it shows my Dish logo on the upper right but then I get this error. “Unauthorized: Access to this program is not included in your Spectrum TV subscription.”   I have never had Spectrum. Why would it say that?  Then I have to authenticate with Dish all over again each time.  Frustrating.

We would recommend first logging out of the channel. Then try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more, specifically in that order. Once the channel is re-installed, try authenticating the channel once more and seeing if the issue persists.

Does this clear up the issue you are seeing? Please keep us posted what you find out.
