Thats a 9 year old unsupported legacy Roku model, and a 2 year old version of RokuOS - its likely the app updated and requires a newer model/RokuOS version (and that model wont get a newer OS version).
DayStar says their Roku app works with all Rokus, but recommends a Roku 2 or better. You can try and contact DayStar about it: https://daystartv.wufoo.com/forms/roku-help-request/
However, I suggest upgrading to a newer Roku - I recommend the Express 4K+ (3941).

However, I dont recommend the Express (3930) due to being 2.4Ghz only, no Voice Remote, no USB ethernet option, and low memory.
I installed and loaded and tested the DayStar app (10.1.1), its loading and playing content without issue.
Try reinstalling the DayStar app:
1) Remove the app (Highlight the app, press the Options (*) button on the remote, then Remove)
2) RESTART the Roku (Settings/System/System restart/Restart) <-- MUST DO THIS HERE!!!
3) Re-install the app
(If you dont restart after removal, settings/cached data associated with the app are left behind and it wont be a clean re-install)

What is your model # and firmware version? Settings/System/About
