I agree!! I bought a Roku Soundbar, which didn't work with my compatible RCA TV with builtin HDMI ports, and it took me over a month to get an RMA number in order to return it, because they said they couldn't find proof I purchased it from them, and I purchased directly from Roku.com / My.Roku.com Web site. They are assholes when it comes to supporting their products. But if you start using harsh language they might get off their lazy asses and get to the bottom of your issue. I login to Roku with 1 of 6 email addresses, purchased the Soundbar via Paypaly (a different email address), but they told me that the item was purchased under a completely different email address from the two I used to make the purchase. It was one of my six email addresses, but how the heck they got a hold of it is not my fault since I can't and don't use it for either Roku or Paypal. BTW, YES I too am having this same issue with TLA Gay Movies. Even though after adding the channel successfully; ROKU will not let you login to the TLA Gay Movies site, because they force you to use your Roku login email address to both login to TLA Gay Movies Account and to Create a New Account. Creating a new account only works if you don't already use your Roku email address as a Login ID for TLA Gay Movies (Because I tried with and without doing so) The password is not accepted if you do, and you can't access the movies that you have already paid for if you don't, because those movies are under a different email address (Login ID).

Because TLA Gay Movies phone support agent didn't seem to understand what I was telling her I have copied my previous statements via TLA email support. I hope one of the two of your companies have the decency to at least try to figure this out, or at least follow up with me concerning this issue. Right now you both suck in the customer support department as far as I am concerned. But you most of all, because they at least have a way to contact them. You assholes use the community forum to buffer your support request. This "EXPERT", who is 'Not' an employee, but defends you so adamantly... Like the other user said, if you will not support your products in anyway, I will make it my life's goal to spread the word by any and all means possible!!!!!!!

For clarity, when I said Roku will only allow, what I should have said is the 'ROKU EMAIL ADDRESS LOGIN ID' is pre-loaded and the only address allowed during both processes [login to TLA GAY Movies & Create Account]. Seams a bit strange that the App programmer from TLA would force us to use our "Roku login ID" to login to their web site.

This is precisely my problem with Roku when compared to AppleTV and Google Playstore... Roku apparently does not adequately screen apps that appear on their platform with the result that there are dozens-upon-dozens that do not work correctly or cannot be viewed at all. Roku support then adopts a stroppy and unhelpful attitude to avoid any responsibility and that tries to shift the blame entirely onto the app developer, without taking any further measures to ensure that the app actually works on their platform. Imagine the hundreds-of-thousands of useless or scam apps that would appear if Apple and Google were comparably lax about the quality of apps appearing on their platforms!  I also hate that Roku's stick forces use of the Google DNS, which is a huge programming no-no in my opinion. I am advising everyone I know to avoid the Roku platform for these reasons.

Again, for clarity: I only used 1 of 6/7 possible email addresses to login to Roku and 2 others to login to PayPal; 1 of the 2 is same email as Roku, but not default/primary PayPal account login and I have never had a problem returning or verifying a purchase made with PayPal from any other vendor, and the email addresses almost never match... And to be clear the third email address that Roku ultimately found for my purchase did 'NOT' match any of the 3 email addresses related to the 2 Web Sites.

The seven active email addresses I currently have: 1 yahoo.com; 1 hotmail.com/2 outlook.com (hotmail/outlook alias same account) Roku Streambar purchase used the other outlook.com email address. So if they had used the outlook.com email address that is an alias for the Hotmail email address I use for PayPal that would have made some kind of since, but they didn't. And I have at least 4 gmail.com email addresses. The gmail.com accounts were created to purchase porn only.

I was having the same problem but this morning after doing some research, I found out that you must first logon to the TLA Gay website and get a code which you must enter first and then that code links the channel within Roku.  It's not a programming problem, it appears to be an age certification procedure.  From what I have read, the channel app should not be on the Roku site as it is considered a non-certified channel.

Thanks for your reply on this which clarified a lot about the TLA channels on Roku. I originally thought this was connected to TLA Releasing (which has released some fantastic films) and that this was a gay-themed cinephile channel, so I was surprised to see from your link that it is actually more of a porn/sex site. Given this, I'm not at all interested in pursuing connection any further.

The TLA Gay Movies Roku channel is separate account from the TLAvideo website, so to rent/buy movies on Roku, a new account is needed. While movies can be viewed on the TLAvideo website, they're billed directly to TLA and not through Roku.

I am at my wits end at this point, because both TLA Customer Support AND Roku Support (which is actually non-existant, because they just send me back to this community site) are refusing to Support the "TLA GAY MOVIES CHANNEL".

There are 2 tla gay channels [tla gay movies & tla gay, which is the porn channel] I have added both channels to my Roku device. Porn channel requires a subscription purchase via tla video, and connects Roku channel with tla web site via a code. The tla gay movies Roku Channel is non-porn and requires you to setup a tla gay video account using the tla gay movies Roku channel and even though it gives you two options (login to tla gay movies account or create a new account using your Roku User ID); the only successful way to proceed is by creating a new tla gay movies account via Roku User ID, which will not give you access to any content already purchased from tla video. TLA Video will not refund any streaming purchases and they say they have no access to the user account created via the Roku App, so they can't transfer a purchase either. Here is my issue with the later situation; when I purchased some of TLA life-time movie subscriptions THE Roku Channel was included under the "Categories" section of the movie: And there is no mention that I would have to first download the channel and setup a completely different tla user account via the channel using my Roku User ID and then purchase the TLA streaming subscription from within the ROKU Channel in order to actually watch the movie via Roku. I can't access the specific movie details after making the purchase, but I found a video and included it below:
