This issue "We're having trouble playing this" Hulu Error Code P-DEV320 appears to be happening on the Hulu channel on all of my profiles on all of my Roku devices, but only with ABC news shows and news segments (including The View and This Week). I can watch all of this just fine on my Android device and Windows PC. All other movies and shows (not news-related) appear to be working fine as I just watched a movie on Hulu on my Roku and started a show to see if that worked and it did, yet both of these weren't recently added. All recent news shows work fine on Hulu through the Disney Plus channel, but Disney Plus doesn't have news segments except with a couple of news shows.
I tried all the troubleshooting steps and nothing resolves this.
I called Hulu since all the news shows and segments work before 2/28/25. Any news segment and shows on 2/28/25 and later has this error. It may be possible that any show and movie that arrived on Hulu on 2/28/25 and later may also have this issue, but I haven't attempted to watch anything that recent except for the news. The movie or show would have had to have been added on 2/28/25 (or later), so this may be an issue that will soon affect all Roku users as soon as newer movies and shows are added to Hulu going forward. Unfortunately, I can't test this on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" since the most recent show on Hulu as of this posting is on 2/27/25, but if I'm right, the next episode may have this error (yet this also may be considered as a news show). I've tried to look for other shows on Hulu, but most shows I've found were added a week before 2/28/25, so we'll just have to wait and see if more and more shows and movies are affected unless this issue is resolved soon.
Anyone else having this strange streaming issue, or is it just me?
Even if you don't watch the news (which includes The View) on Hulu, if you subscribe to Hulu, could you select the news menu item, select the first segment you see under "Latest News Stories," and let me know if that's working for you? If it's not, this may be an issue that extends to all movies and shows starting from 2/28/25. The ABC New Live channel feed works. As of now, this issue appears to happen only on ABC News VOD content as recently as when I posted this on 3/3/25 (since these segments and shows are the only items on Hulu that have been recently added on 2/28/25 or later). I'm hopeful this resolves itself soon.
I am subscribed to the ad-free tier of Hulu/Disney+/Max combo through Hulu -- I'm not sure if that would make a difference, but it might.
I would just like to know if I'm the only one experiencing this issue or not. Hulu gave me a case number.

I didn't think about testing the Oscars. But yeah, it came out on 3/2/25. I tried to watch both episodes and some of the clips with the same error. I'm still unsure if this error is related to just ABC content (no longer just ABC news content) or if this will affect all of Hulu on Roku devices once movies and shows are released on or after 2/28/25. As of now, The Oscars is the only show on ABC on the Hulu base plan that was released after 2/28/25 (that I'm aware of).
Everyone reading this who can't watch the Oscars (or anything else that came out on 2/28/25 or later) on Hulu with your Roku device: contact them now, so this is fixed asap. You'll have to log in and either select "Chat with Agent" or "Call Hulu." After calling them, be prepared for long wait times. Let the service agent know that this is affecting your Roku, and that you're not the only one having this issue so they can't blame this on your device or your account.

I am getting this too only for ABC shows.

Hey all, it looks like they fixed the issue. @venessa711 I tried the newest episode with General Hospital and at first it didn't work, but then I was able to load the newest episode fine.
If you are still having this issue, try to exit Hulu and get back into it, but for me, I was able to start watching shows again. It may still be glitchy a bit but keep trying and hopefully the show will load for you. I'll try to see if I can watch segments of This Week tomorrow and find out if the issue is resolved then. If you're still having issues, it may be because you're on an older Roku and Hulu is still working on it.
Update: On my two older Roku's, I successfully tested the Hulu News segments and extras and started the shows, I also was able to start the Oscars without problems along with the extras, and I was able to start the newest General Hospital episode without issue (there's now a newer episode that isn't yet able to stream on Hulu, so you can't watch that one yet).
If this is fixed, thanks everyone for getting this issue quickly resolved!
