When selecting the Smithsonian Channel I get promoted to update. How do U do this?

Try going to Settings->System->System update->Check now.

Thanks for the post.

If the channel is prompting to check for a channel update, return to the Home screen, select the channel and press the * button > Check for updates.

If you are required to check for an OS update, you can follow the steps provided by @renojim.

Slightly off topic, but asking as you can get Smithsonian channel in US on Roku (not available on UK Roku, but we get a UK version free to air by antenna/satellite/cable).

Can you check for a program released in early 2020 called something like "Henry VIII and the men who made him"?

My family and friends were involved in the making of the program (made specially for Smithsonian as part of  Scripps/Discovery). We were specialist costumed extras, was interested to know if aired on streaming and how often in US.

(Have been involved in a couple of similar shows).
